Florida Environmental, Fire & Government Law, P.A. (EFG) provides legal services to local governments and special districts throughout the state. This representation includes counties, municipalities, a regional water supply authority, independent special fire control and rescue districts, water district, and mosquito control districts.

Local governments and special districts provide direct services to citizens, and in doing so have very unique issues. These are not merely customer service related, but also deal with interlocal governmental issues, transactions and compliance.

Like our administrative practice, this is not strictly environmental. EFG represents fire districts whose issues range from annexation and ballot challenges through interlocal agreements and legislative initiatives.

EFG provides representation for clients on transactions between governments and private interests, including the negotiating and drafting of general government interlocal agreements.

Florida Environmental, Fire & Government Law, P.A. is actively involved in any proposed change to Chapters 189, Florida Statutes, (Special Districts) and Chapter 191, Florida Statutes, (Special Fire Control Districts) and any legislation that may have a direct or indirect impact on local government operations.

EFG frequently represents local governments in land use and environmental matters, including acting as special counsel in court proceedings on behalf of local governments.
